2013 has brought lots of changes to NWT Websites that will help us continue our growth in the years to come. We have changed focus on some sites, changed features on some sites and added some new features to several sites.  I will list some of the marketing and strategy changes below as many of our services have seen growth so it is really a list of the sites and services that each site now offers. We suffered some setbacks in 2012 with directed attacks and server issues but powered through and managed to come out even stronger than ever.

NWT Websites is one of our most successful software sales sites of our software brand. We have changed focus there from advertising sites using our software to more business sites using our software because it really can run any site you want to build easily with all the features a business needs to easily run a website for their office, business, organization, club, church or school.

We added SEO services, Social Media Marketing services for businesses and geared two of our NWT advertising sites more for a match of business advertising and the customers of NWT Websites Content Management Software. Both NWT Webworks and NWT Surf Center are now with a basic look that would appeal more to a business owner than a site with flashy graphics would. The focus of both of those sites is still network traffic but again, we want to appeal more to people with a business to advertise and not just surfers.

Breed Traffic has gone all Auto Surf and the possibility of a 1:1 Surf Ratio is still being discussed. We added a Social Directory to hold the data for Social Surfing which we are still working on. We added a Pro Downline System for upgraded members and will be adding many more tools there that will actually help upgraded members earn from their affiliate accounts and links. With the new menu format, things are easier to find and free classifieds and link directory have been revamped. You can also use the URL Rotator, Banner Exchange, Text Ad Exchange and Mini Banner Exchange

Traffic 4 Dummies has seen great growth and is one of our fastest growing services and the formula for that is keeping it simple and effective. I have gotten more than one e-mail from webmasters telling me the number of unique hits they get from T4D is equal to sites that claim 100,000 members or more. That is because we are aggressive in removing duplicate accounts, cheaters, inactive accounts and we never surf multiple accounts on our own sites which is the number one way some unscrupulous site owners are defrauding their members on thousands of sites.

Total Drama Traffic launched in 2013 as our first all manual exchange on our own menu format making it very easy to use and navigate. We built a prize system by hand so active members are rewarded. Every 17 pages you surf you get a prize and if you surf 680 pages in a day, you will have collected 39 regular prizes that include ( Manual Credits, Banner or Text Ad Impressions or Surf Boosts ) and two Grand Prizes that include a Large random Amount of Manual Credits and a Large random Amount of Banner and Or Text Ad Impressions. Built to reward activity and includes a Social Profile Directory, a URL Rotator, Pro Manual Traffic Exchange Downline Builder System for upgraded members and we are adding more there for affiliate marketers as well.

Splash Page Hits has gone to an all manual surf format with a banner, mini banner and text ad exchange. The Splash Page Builder files were lost in the server crash and the backup system was not picking up the custom files so we are working on rebuilding from scratch and the splash page builder feature will be for pro members only when we get it finished. We are still only allowing splash pages on the manual surf track so the focus is still on surfers surfing only splash pages allowing for fast loads and lots of colorful pages to look at as you earn hits back to your splash pages.

Banner Elevator is Still down for maintenance and we are working on a new format there but we are not in a hurry for the relaunch there and have even discussed using the site license for a different site since the developer of the system and modules stopped open development and went private with features needed to sell the Banner Elevator System as a stand alone site. It is still in the discussion phase so we will announce that decision later.

NWT Search is back running and accepting site submissions of direct website urls and the policy is still to build a directory of real links for site owners and not get it crammed with junk affiliate links that will be no good in 6 months. We are building  only quality back links for webmasters and require no link to our directory. The focus again with the NWT Brand is for people with business sites whether an online business or a site for a brick and mortar business.

Kokomo Now is still with us but the person pushing the development of a community site is not. Again with the developer taking features needed to implement the basic site’s needs to function as a local community site private and or leaving them unfinished this project will be the last thing we get to this year as there is still a lot of software customizations needed and a new developer will have to be hired.

Traffic Exchange Software which is a brand of NWT Software has grown although many that buy traffic exchanges just give up when the money does not just come flooding in within a few months of the site being launched, we have managed to show enough people how the software works that many sites are now running the Traffic Exchange Software – TES 2.1 System and successfully I might add.

NWT Traffic Network is growing slow because we are pretty picky about the exchanges we allow on the network and quality exchanges are the focus there. The site is a real traffic network although the word network has been subverted by people using it to describe a bunch of their sites but only sites that trade views are a real network, that will never change.

Direct-Traffic is still running selling wholesale commercial traffic and we are in talks to develop that into a Joint Venture project with some other Manual Traffic Exchange Owners so we may see development there this year.

All in all 2012 was a good year and we look forward to 2013 being even better as we grow as a community of like minded webmasters helping each other grow. We thank all our members, customers and online friends for all of our success in the past 12 years since we launched New Webmaster Tools on our personal sprynet web space way back in 2000.

NWT has released the Social Profile system for any website running NWT Websites Software, Traffic Exchange Software or Mom’s Favorite Sites Software. When NWT ( New Webmaster Tools ) decided to get into the traffic business back in 2004, we had a lot to learn. We learned from people that at that time were honest and really cared about the numbers their sites produced being real. The way you produce Real Traffic is by keeping your database cleaned of Duplicate Users ( Cheaters ) – Dead Accounts ( People that are not Active or have E-Mails that Bounce ) and here is the big one. you do not surf more than your one account on your traffic exchange.

I know for a FACT that many traffic exchanges are doing just that. Some are surfing 20 or 30 accounts on a 2 second timer to produce huge fake numbers to trick you into joining their sites. Many have hidden their live stats because they are stuck in that mindset. Tricking you with lies is the only way they can get you to join their worthless sites and networks.

One of the easiest ways to flush out these worthless exchanges is to use a stats program on the pages you put in them. I use Google Stats and Add Free Stats on all my pages so I get a pretty clear picture though many of these sites and networks have banned the NWT Group and it’s sites because we will not get on board with deceiving our members like they do.

I run live stats on all my sites and could not care less about how these other so called traffic exchanges operate. We will always be honest and the quality of our traffic shows and that is why we are growing and they are just producing more fake sites full of cheaters from around the world surfing multiple accounts and ruining any rankings the real traffic you are getting is adding to them.

One thing you can count on with NWT is the numbers are real, the members are all active or we delete them. Our network produces approx 450,000 Real Network Hits Daily. Our sites produce over a Million Real Hits a Day for our members. If you use traffic exchanges for hits and rankings, you really need to use a good stats program to flush out the worthless exchanges that produce junk traffic.

Do you ever wonder why when some site claims 100,000 members you surf it all day and only get a few unique hits and hundreds from the same ip address ? If you do, just go back to the top and read this post again for the answers LOL.

For all members that follow our page here, welcome back and welcome to all newcomers. Our server was recently attacked which caused some downtime and some data loss. One of our main problems was hosting traffic exchanges for others as well, which left an opening which was easy picking for the hackers. We don’t feel comfortable providing hosting service any longer and are focusing more on our core advertising network.

We now only host the traffic exchanges, viral banner ad sites, directories and network sites we own, operate and have full management of.

There are intricate things that have to be done in the day to day operation of a quality traffic exchange, it is not just approve some sites and take bad sites out of the surf rotation. You have to watch for duplicate accounts, viruses, banner and text ad exchange abusers on a daily basis. You have to watch for people cheating the surf timer and nuke their accounts otherwise they are cheating all the members. When webmasters run these types of sites, not doing these things can be detrimental to the server and all the sites on it.

You would be amazed to see the lengths some people will go to to cheat a free service. I have seen thousands of banner exchange codes for our sites on a single page loading in a hidden i-frame on a page. I have seen a server set up to surf and refresh every few minutes and one that reloads thousands of referral pages every few seconds. Cheaters are a plague but if you keep getting rid of them, your site is easy to manage and easy on the server. A trap lots of owners fall into is keeping cheaters for the surf numbers and member count which makes the quality of their traffic non existent or less than worthless.

Since a host can’t force people to manage their sites properly to minimize server load and some people were never taught how to do some of these things or just don’t want to take the time, we can’t offer a hosting service. Our server crashed but was being overloaded at the time by the hackers using MySQL database connections via an insecure script on one of the sites on the server. The blame as always is on the hackers that have no life and nothing better to do than mess up someone’s business.

We have been doing this a long time and will be here for the long haul with all of our free sites and services because all that lasts in this industry is quality traffic and good customer service. I have seen hundreds of online advertising sites come and go with both good and bad intentions mainly because we have stayed away from groups with intentions that do not match ours. NWT provides quality, always has and always will.

Sorry for any problems the server crash may have caused to our members of any of our sites or software customers. We are helping all we can with any customers needing their software installation on their new host and their back ups installed. If you run an online business and expect people to accept and even use the business, branding is the key. When people are comfortable with a brand they tend to use the service or site more. We learned early on that branding is important because you can use the same branding everywhere and people start to recognize you in more places.
